Cassia tora Linn. is one of the widely used plants in ethnic and traditional systems medicine. A popular species genus Cassia, its therapeutic effects on ocular system, integumentary hepato pancreatic disorders, gastric system have been documented since centuries demonstrated through pharmacological experiments. The efficacy seeds leaves may be attributed to presence anthraquinones glycosides phenolic glycosides, sennosides flavonoids. need evaluated for unexplored health benefits new scientific investigations tackling emerging diseases life style disorders.
