چکیده
The traditional medicine, Cassia alata, also known as Ketepeng Cina in Indonesia and Gelenggang Malaysia, has been used to cure a variety of illnesses particularly skin conditions. Additionally, it suggested that C. alata may have antifungal, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties. Alatinon, alanonal, flavones, flavonols, flavonoid glycosides, well -sitosterol-D-glucoside, are among the isolated metabolite substances from alata. Mostly leaves, chemicals isolated. secondary metabolites other plant components such seed, flower, bark, which said strong antibacterial antifungal activity, need be further identified. Due its biological activity metabolites, this demonstrated pharmacological activities against selected diseases.

Antimicrobial activity of Cassia alata.
The methanol extracts of leaves, flowers, stem and root barks of Cassia alata showed a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity. The activity was increased on fractionation (petrol, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate), the dichloromethane fraction of the flower extract being the most effective. No activity was shown against tested moulds.
متن کاملFlavonoid glycosides from Cassia alata.
Two new glycosides, chrysoeriol-7-O-(2"-O-beta-D-mannopyranosyl)-beta-D-allopyranos ide and rhamnetin-3-O-(2"-O-beta-D-mannopyranosyl)-beta-D-allopyranosid e, were isolated from the seeds of Cassia alata. The structures were established on the basis of chemical evidence and spectroscopic methods, especially NMR.

A rapid and efficient protocol for the large-scale propagation of an important woody medicinal plant, Cassia alata L., is described. Cotyledonary node (CN) obtained from 15 day-old aseptic seedling were used as an explant and their morphogenetic potential was tested on MS media with various concentrations (0.5–12.5 μM) of 6-benzyladenine (BA), Kinetin (Kn), and 2-isopentinyl adenine (2iP) alone...
