چکیده

Background: To assess the cardiac functions in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).Methods: 150 CKD were randomly selected. 12 lead ECG performed to detect CVD. All Patients diagnosed CKD. The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and fractional shortening (FS) taken as measures of LV systolic function. Diastolic function was determined by measuring early late peak velocities (E/A) ratio spectral Doppler inflow velocity. Results: Male: female 95 55, hypertension 67% leading cause dysfunction denoted E/A less than 0.75 or more 1.8 present 64% patients. Regional wall motion abnormality (RWMA) 14%. LVH 74%. Systolic measured reduced (<25%) decreased LVEF (<52%) 8% 12% respectively. PE noted 15% Valvular calcification Mean internal diameter diastole 41±6 mm. Interventricular septum diameters systole was11.9±1.21 LA 29±4 Statistically significant difference hypertensive group compared normotensive group. Conclusions: diastolic also happens who having stage Hypertensive along had found higher widespread presence normotensive.

Depressed cardiac autonomic modulation in patients with chronic kidney disease.

INTRODUCTION A dysfunctional autonomic nervous system (ANS) has also been recognized as an important mechanism contributing to the poor outcome in CKD patients, with several studies reporting a reduction in heart rate variability (HRV). OBJECTIVE Evaluate the sympathovagal balance in patients with chronic kidney disease on conservative treatment. METHODS In a cross-sectional study, patients...

association between plasma beta-2 microglobulin level and cardiac performance in patients with chronic kidney disease

background beta-2 microglobulin (b2m) is considered as a surrogate marker for middle molecule uremic toxins and a key component in dialysis-related amyloidosis. however, few studies have evaluated role of b2m in patients with chronic kidney disease (ckd). objectives the purpose of this study was to evaluate the association of plasma b2m level with some metabolic and cardiac performance factors ...

Evaluation of Hypothyroidism in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease in Western Iran

Background and Objective: Chronic kidney disease (CKD)  determined by permanent kidney damage. Due to the similarity of clinical symptoms of hypothyroidism with CKD, hypothyroidism may be neglected and remain untreated. The goal of our study was to evaluate the rate of hypothyroidism in CKD patients who need hemodialysis. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional research. The sampling ...

Cardiac evaluation of patients with chronic kidney disease: what lessons?

INTRODUCTION Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) experiment a synergistic effect of the traditional and the emerging uremia-related risk factors for atherosclerosis. OBJECTIVE Draw the epidemiologic profile of a group of CKD patients who underwent cardiac evaluation. METHODS Symptomatic patients, patients with ischemia on myocardial scintigraphy and/or systolic dysfunction on echocar...

Evaluation of Glomerular Filtration Rate Estimating Formulas in Diabetic Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease

Objective: Measurement of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the best determinant in assessment of kidney function for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. As extremely accurate methods of GFR measurement (i.e. Inulin clearance) are expensive and Time-consuming and due to limitations of the 24 hour urine collection method, some formula have been developed for the GFR measurement. Here we have ...
