Carbon Neutrality in the UNECE Region: Technology Interplay under the Carbon Neutrality Concept

This publication calls for ambitious and bold action from governments, the private sector regulators. Development of technologies will require new regulatory frameworks to support immediate commercialization. Policy should also incorporate legally binding commitments increased international technology transfer, harmonized standards, definitions ‘green’ hydrogen, energy efficiency, conservation. All decisions be assessed against existing upcoming net-zero climate neutrality targets, with all infrastructure built compliant. Integrating innovative technologies, alongside transformation markets downstream industries, is a challenge an opportunity.
