چکیده
Little is known about the effect of carbon-based conductive material (CM) addition on anaerobic co-digestion fat, oil and grease (FOG) waste activated sludge (WAS). In this study, three types CMs (nano-graphite (NG), granular carbon (GAC), cloth (CC)) nine dosages were evaluated for their influences performance. The best dosage was achieved at 0.2 g/L NG, 10 GAC, 1 cm × 5 CC with 13–22% incremental methane production, 25–55% increased VS removal 28–32% enhanced COD conversion efficiency compared to control. highest total amount bacteria/archaea found in (1 cm), followed by GAC NG g/L, which all higher than those Microbial community analysis revealed that direct interspecies electron transfer (DIET)-mediated syntrophic acetate oxidation (SAO) enabling faster might be responsible enhancement production.

Effects of ultrasonic and thermo-chemical pre-treatments on methane production from fat, oil and grease (FOG) and synthetic kitchen waste (KW) in anaerobic co-digestion.
The effects of ultrasonic and thermo-chemical pre-treatments on the methane production potential of anaerobic co-digestion with synthetic kitchen waste (KW) or fat, oil and grease (FOG) were investigated. Non-linear regressions were fitted to accurately assess and compare the methane production from co-digestion under the various pre-treatment conditions and to achieve representative simulation...
متن کاملA Review of Process Limitations and Microbial Community in Anaerobic Digestion of Fat, Oil, and Grease (Fog)
Organic wastes, such as fats, oils, and grease (FOG), are good substrates for biogas production because of their high methane yield potential. FOG are hydrolyzed to glycerol and long-chain fatty acids(LCFA), and the degradation of LCFA takes place through the β-oxidation pathway which has been reported as the rate-limiting step of the whole anaerobic digestion process. This paper reviews the sc...
متن کاملEffect of organic loading rates (OLR) on production of methane from anaerobic digestion of vegetables waste
In this study, experiments were conducted to investigate the production of biogas from vegetable wastes by using anaerobic digestion process. The complete-mix, pilot-scale digester with working volume of 70 l was used. The experimental protocol was defined to examine the effect of the change in the organic loading rate on the efficiency of the production of biogas and to report on its steady-st...
متن کاملMethane production by anaerobic digestion of wastewater and solid wastes
Anaerobic conversion of organic materials and pollutants is an established technology for environmental protection through the treatment of wastes and wastewater. The end product is biogas –a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide–, which is a useful, renewable energy source. Anaerobic digestion is a technologically simple process, with a low energy requirement, used to convert organic material ...
