چکیده

A novel Ultra High-Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC) mix with synthetic fibers and a low clinker matrix, henceforth referred to as PE-UHPFRC, has been developed for structural applications. It exhibits high tensile elastic limit above 7 MPa, strength of more than 10 very hardening domain 3.5%. In order effectively use this material, its protective properties have investigated on the basis effect deformation subsequent cracking water transport properties, wide range strain. special setup was measure capillary absorption liquids while specimen is under tension. The results show considerable reduction in case PE-UHPFRC compared Strain Hardening Cement-based Composites (SHCC). Moreover, highlight onset absorption.

Field of Stresses in an Isotropic Plane with Circular Inclusion under Tensile Stress

Within the framework of the linear theory of elasticity, the analytical equations for the components of the stress tensor for а plane with а circular inclusion under tensile loading have been derived using the method of superposition. The given approach allows one to describe the plane-stress state of the plane both for the case of rigid and "soft" inclusions. The obtained solutions have been c...

Energetics and nucleation of point defects in aluminum under extreme tensile hydrostatic stresses

Density functional theory calculations are employed to investigate the energetics of point defects—monovacancy, self-interstitials (tetrahedral, octahedral and dumbbell) and Frenkel pairs— in aluminum under tensile hydrostatic stresses. Our study suggests that the defect core-energy of a vacancy, which is governed solely by the electronic-structure at the core, significantly depends on the macr...

Nonlinear behaviors of a comb drive actuator under electrically induced tensile and compressive stresses

A theory with experimental verifications has been developed to investigate the nonlinear behavior of comb drive actuators under applied external electrical potential and Joule heating effects. The nonlinear behavior originates from coupled effects of the beam structure under applied electrical potential with electrostatically induced tensile stress and thermally induced compressive stress. Deta...

Interplay between Cytoskeletal Stresses and Cell Adaptation under Chronic Flow

Using stress sensitive FRET sensors we have measured cytoskeletal stresses in α-actinin and the associated reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton in cells subjected to chronic shear stress. We show that long-term shear stress reduces the average actinin stress and this effect is reversible with removal of flow. The flow-induced changes in cytoskeletal stresses are found to be dynamic, involvi...
