Capacity Market and Investments in Power Generations: Risk-Averse Decision-Making of Power Producer

چکیده
The penetration of power generations from renewable energy sources into the market has a significant impact on capacity factor existing generations. This is because producers cannot recover capital cost with high operating possibly due to underinvestment. One solution address this problem includes mechanism; that is, capacities can be sold through or bilateral contract. Many schemes mechanism have been used worldwide. 15 صفحه اولRisk averse decision making under catastrophic risk
A nonstandard probabilistic setting for modeling of the risk of catastrophic events is presented. It allows random variables to take on infinitely large negative values with non-zero probability, which corresponds to catastrophic consequences unmeasurable in monetary terms, e.g. loss of human lives. Thanks to this extension, the safety-first principle is proved to be consistent with traditional...
