Çankırı (Orta Anadolu) Yöresi Lütesiyen Ostrakod Faunasının İncelenmesi

Bu çalışmada, Çankırı Havzası’nda 2018 yılında MTA Doğu Akdeniz Bölge Müdürlüğü tarafından kömür arama amaçlı olarak açılmış sondajlardan derlenen örnekler incelenmiştir. Eosen yaşlı birimlerde yapılmış olan sondajlardaki kırıntılı sedimanter örneklerin ostrakod faunası değerlendirilmiştir. Bölgede Lütesiyen sarımsı gri renkli, fosilli, kumtaşı, silttaşı, marn ve kireçtaşı litolojisinden oluşmaktadır. Alt sınırında geç Kretase ofiyolit üzerinde uyumsuz bulunan formasyon, üstte uyumlu Eosen-erken Miyosen İncik Formasyonu’na ait killi-kumlu seviyeleri ile son bulur. Eosen’de çalışmasının örnekleri incelenerek Araştırmada seviyelerinin belirlendiği birim Kocaçay Formasyonu’nda ilk kez yaşlı, sığ denizel tanımlanmıştır. Formasyonun içeriği ortamsal özellikleri bu çalışma ortaya konulmuştur. Formasyon içerisinde Vetustocytheridea sp., Schuleridea perforata, Monsmirabilia oblonga, faveolata, triebeli balık otoliti Formasyonda saptanan lagün deniz ortamını karakterize etmektedir
