Candidate rhizobacteria as plant growth-promoters and root-knot nematode controllers in tomato plants

چکیده

Meloidogyne incognita root-knot nematode is one of the main causes tomato root damage and consequently crop production losses. Thus, in vitro conditions, number nematodes hatched eggs (%) at 4 6 days mortality (J2 stage) 8, 18, 24 h, were evaluated Petri dishes containing candidate rhizobacteria Enterobacter asburiae (BA4-19 PM3-14), Acinetobacter calcoaceticus (BM2-12), Klebsiella variicola (BO3-4) Serratia marcescens (PM3-8). The well-known Pseudomonas protegens (CHA0) P. veronii (R4) used as controls. In greenhouse plant height, weight, symptoms, well gall numbers, determined plants infected by M. treated with seven rhizobacteria. addition, all variables correlated using Pearson's analysis. general, a significant correlation was observed among both experiments, showing antagonistic capacity strains against nematode. It seems, that PM3-8 PM3-14 reduce hatching, cause J2 if compared CHA0 R4 strains. Likewise, BM2-12 strain shows higher height smaller galls their roots. This study provides evidence egg can be growth-promoter potential plants.

Effect of some plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria strains on root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita, on tomatoes

Root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita, is one of the main problems in vegetable-growing regions, decreasing yield quality and quantity worldwide. Root-knot nematode management tactics mostly involve chemical control which is a threat to the environment, consequences to human health. Biological control of nematodes is considered to be one of the best alternatives to the chemical control. In ...

Green Nanoparticles Engineering on Root-knot Nematode Infecting Eggplant plants and Their Effect on Plant DNA Modification

Background: Root-knot nematodes are known to cause significant damage to eggplants. New approaches by green silver nanoparticles (GSN) are used to control plant-parasitic nematode to avoid chemical nematicide hazards. Objectives: Analyses of the incorporation of different concentrations of nanoparticles on two different algae (Ulva lactuca and Turbinaria turbinata) were carried out. Fureth...

Bio-management of root knot nematode and root rot disease by antagonistic fungi and rhizobacteria

Effects of four fungi and six rhizobacteria isolates from the rhizosphere of vegetable crops was studied for suppression of root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita and wilt fungus, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici on tomato in laboratory and pot culture experiment. All the isolates were isolated by serial dilution and cultured in liquid protein supplemented broth medium and culture filtr...

Transgenic tomato plants alter quorum sensing in plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria.

Two Gram-negative, plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPRs), denominated as M12 and M14, were classified by 16S rDNA sequencing as Burkholderia graminis species. Both strains were shown to produce a variety of N-acyl-homoserine lactone (AHL) quorum sensing (QS) signalling molecules. The involvement of these molecules in plant growth promotion and the induction of protection against salt str...
