چکیده
Chub mackerel (Scomber japonicus Houttuyn, 1782) were obtained from the commercial fishermen in Çanakkale, Turkey, July, 2017. We examined a total of 40 fish (20 non-infested and 20 infested) assessed biometric indices, haematological parameters serum biochemical variables. The hepatosomatic index gonadosomatic infested chub lower than those fish. Blood haematocrit ratio haemoglobin concentration naturally parasite-infested significantly However, white blood cell counts higher healthy ones. Serum protein, globulin, glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, urea, chlorine iron levels Moreover, lactate dehydrogenase, aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase alanine aminotransferase activities Therefore, observed variations parameters, variables indices influenced by parasite, A. pegreffii, may potentially increase sensitivity mackerel, Scomber japonicus, to diseases environmental conditions.

Chub mackerel (Scomber japonicus Houttuyn, 1782), is a coastal pelagic fish species that usually lives between the surface and depths of 250 or 300 m (BAuCHOt, 1987). It is a geographically widespread species that inhabits the moderate and warm waters of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans (COllEtE & NAuEN, 1983). It is also rather frequent in the Mediterranean and its adjacent seas (Black ...
متن کاملTaxonomic review of Argentine mackerel Scomber japonicus (Houttuyn, 1782) by phylogenetic analysis
Taxonomically, Argentine mackerels were first considered as Scomber japonicus marplatensis and later as Scomber japonicus Houttuyn 1782, although, in the last years, different studies have suggested that South Atlantic mackerel species belongs to Scomber colias Gmelin 1789. These latter results, incorporated in the main fish databases (FishBase and Catalog of Fishes), promoted a phylogenetic st...

متن کاملPathogenic Potential of Two Sibling Species, Anisakis simplex (s.s.) and Anisakis pegreffii (Nematoda: Anisakidae): In Vitro and In Vivo Studies
The pathogenic potentials of two sibling nematodes Anisakis simplex sensu stricto (s.s.) and A. pegreffii were compared by in vitro and in vivo studies. Live third-stage larvae of each species were subjected to agar blocks made using PBS or RPMI-1640, overlaid with different supernatants (artificial gastric juice, PBS, and RPMI-1640), and their penetration ability was compared. Their tolerance ...
متن کاملAnisakiasis and Gastroallergic Reactions Associated with Anisakis pegreffii Infection, Italy
Human cases of gastric anisakiasis caused by the zoonotic parasite Anisakis pegreffii are increasing in Italy. The disease is caused by ingestion of larval nematodes in lightly cooked or raw seafood. Because symptoms are vague and serodiagnosis is difficult, the disease is often misdiagnosed and cases are understimated.
