Can near infrared spectroscopy predict stroke in coronary artery by-pass graft?

نویسندگان

چکیده

Aim: Central nervous system may be affected after coronary artery by-pass graft (CABG) and carotid stenosis is an important risk factor. Near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) used to measure the regional cerebral oxygen concentration (rScO2). The aim of this study determine relationship rScO2 in patients with lesion relation stroke changes.
Material Method: who had cardiac bypass surgery were involved study. Demographic characteristics presence stenosis, collected from files. Bilateral rSO2 measurements performed by 2 sensors. RScO2 values are detected 5 minutes cross-clamp (XCL5), XCL30, XCL60, XCL90, XCL120 by-pass.
Results: 57 (40 male mean age 62.54±13.08). 17 (29%) stenosis. levels statistically significantly decreased post-clamp 30 minutes. Three (5.2%). Two while one patient did not have.
Conclusion: irrespective degree cross-clamp. Cerebral perfusion follow-up during CPB NIRS a method that can for purpose.

Potential of Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS) to Predict Nutrient Composition of Bromus tomentellus

Determination of forage quality of available species is one of the fundamentalfactors for the management of rangelands. Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS)was used to analysis the Nitrogen (N), Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), Dry MatterDigestibility (DMD) and Metabolizable Energy (ME) content of three phenological stages(vegetative, flowering and seeding) of Bromus tomentellus samples in ...

brain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs)

near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. typical applications include medical and physiological diagnostics. nirs can be used for non-invasive assessment of brain function through the intact skull in human subjects by detecting changes in blood hemoglobin concentrations associated with neural activity, e.g., ...

Combined Near-Infrared Spectroscopy and Intravascular Ultrasound Imaging of Pre-Existing Coronary Artery Stents: Can Near-Infrared Spectroscopy Reliably Detect Neoatherosclerosis?

BACKGROUND Neoatherosclerosis is an emerging phenomenon in which lipid-rich plaques (LRPs) develop within pre-existing stents. This study was undertaken to describe near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and intravascular ultrasound findings in pre-existing stents and to compare NIRS findings in pre-existing stents, in which an increased lipid signal has been speculated to indicate neoatherosclerosi...
