Can a Change in Agriculture Management Practice Improve Soil Physical Properties

چکیده
Soil conventional tillage has been associated with deterioration of its characteristics, while organic farming promoted as an approach to conserve a favorable soil environment. With the interest in nominating strategies without ploughing for maintaining long-term quality and subsequently increasing yields, this study set identify if how conservation practices management (OM) do improve physical properties compared (CM). This was conducted on matched field pairs Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The treatment effects OM (superficial using chisel at 10 cm depth) CM (mouldboard 30 depth). were homogenous most respects that would reflect impacts. Measurements included infiltration capacity, saturated hydraulic conductivity, penetration resistance, effective bulk density. Infiltration rate, measured hood infiltrometer parcels, computed Wooding’s analytical method, Gardner’s equation used calculate conductivity (Ks). steady rate qs (h) two times higher under than average 624 mm/h 303 mm/h, respectively. Penetration resistances lower irrespective clay content. degree compactness (effective density) greater OM. That small change affects water rather intrinsic matrix such texture. Numerical model Hydrus-1D results more representative simulating transfer parameters changes.

Can Novel Management Practice Improve Soil and Environmental Quality and Sustain Crop Yield Simultaneously?
Little is known about management practices that can simultaneously improve soil and environmental quality and sustain crop yields. The effects of novel and traditional management practices that included a combination of tillage, crop rotation, and N fertilization on soil C and N, global warming potential (GWP), greenhouse gas intensity (GHGI), and malt barley (Hordeum vulgarie L.) yield and qua...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The impact of large, randomized trials in orthopedic surgery on surgeons' preferences for a particular surgical approach remains unclear. We surveyed surgeons to assess whether they would change practice based upon results of a large, multicenter randomized controlled hip fracture trial. METHODS We conducted a cross-sectional survey among International Hip Fracture Rese...
متن کاملEffect of Slope Gradient and Soil Physical Properties on Soil Loss in Furrows of Rainfed Farms
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of slope gradient and soil physical properties (grain size distribution, bulk density, aggregate stability and permeability) on water erosion in the furrows of rainfed farms under fallow conditions. The furrows with 6 m length were installed in five rainfed farms with 6.1, 10.6, 14.8, 20.7 and 27.1% slope steepness at three replications. Resul...
متن کاملRole of Conservative Agriculture on the Sustainability of Soil structure in Achieving Sustainable Management
Conservative agriculture is considered as an alternative to tackle the need for increased agricultural production based on sustainable agriculture activities with the aim of increasing production and product stability along with preserving the environment. Tillage is one of the most important factors affecting soil structure. Selection of appropriate tillage systems varies according to the cond...
متن کاملCan Experience Improve Hospital Management?
BACKGROUND Experience curve effects were first observed in the industrial arena as demonstrations of the relationship between experience and efficiency. These relationships were largely determined by improvements in management efficiency and quality of care. In the health care industry, volume-outcome relationships have been established with respect to quality of care improvement, but little is...
