چکیده
Among solar thermal collectors, the evacuated flat panel is emerging as a reference technology for operation at temperatures high 200 °C with an increased annual energy production owing to both direct and diffuse light capture. Accurate measurements of optical properties selective absorbers used in such devices are key reliable estimation overall performance. These must be measured under vacuum temperatures, conditions which panels meant operate. In this study, we accurately these using calorimetric technique. The measurement procedure based on power balance equation sample absorber suspended high-vacuum chamber minimized losses well adapted class devices. Calorimetric obtained Sun LED illumination revealed excellent reproducibility good agreement those traditional analysis low air. When extended up stagnation temperature, often exceeds 300 °C, started deviate from measurements, indicating importance measuring actual operating conditions.

High-performance absorbers for solar thermal applications
Energy has emerged as one of the most significant and universal concerns society will face in this century. Currently, the world relies on fossil fuels to produce 86% of its energy. However, the combustion of fossil fuels generates greenhouse gases, a major factor responsible for global warming. Because concentrated solar thermal (CST) systems offer a pathway to a cost-competitive alternative t...

In this work, we describe an improved thermal-vacuum compatible flat plate radiometric source which has been developed and utilized for the characterization and calibration of remote optical sensors. This source is unique in that it can be used in situ, in both ambient and thermal-vacuum environments, allowing it to follow the sensor throughout its testing cycle. The performance of the original...
متن کاملOptical properties of boride ultra-high temperature ceramics for solar thermal absorbers
It is a known rule that the efficiency of thermodynamic solar plants increases with the working temperature. At present the main limit in temperature upscaling is the absorber capability to withstand high temperatures. The ideal solar absorber works at high temperatures and has both a low thermal emissivity and a high absorptivity in the solar spectral range. The present work reports on the pre...

The enhancement of the thermal performance of Vacuum Tube Solar Collectors (VTSC) was studied by using alumina nanofluid as working fluid. VTSC is a simple and commonly utilized type of collector. This study established the heat transfer experimental model of all glass VTSCs used in a forced-circulation solar water heating system using alumina nanofluid as base fluid. Al2O3 (with an average par...
