Busting muscle myths

Skeletal muscle is the most abundant tissue in human body. Known for its primary role movement, also plays important roles regulating metabolism, maintaining body temperature and providing large stores of protein, carbohydrates fats. Muscle cells (known as ‘muscle fibres’) can rapidly adapt to exercise or disuse by changing size function. Many myths misconceptions have proliferated through years related skeletal muscle, training performance. Some these spanned centuries, but more recent research has passed doubt on stories. In this article, we address common misconceptions, including ‘go big go home’ ‘if you don’t use it, lose it’ approaches training. Clarification could positively impact individual programs/therapies their outcomes.
