BUSINESS STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT MODEL FOR APPLYING KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN CONSTRUCTION

This study aims at developing a knowledge management (KM) model that construction companies can apply for effective implementations in their businesses. In the proposed model, mixed methodology of analysing related literature and identifying gaps some existing models intended industry is applied. addition, questionnaire interviews approaches are conducted to prepare, enhance, strengthen validate developed model. The major finding this proposing new KM – named as BAN fits potential conditions contracting firms, especially enterprises small size nonadopting KM. comprises six main stages: (1) preliminary stage; (2) development an organizational strategy (3) start-up (4) implementation (5) monitoring evaluation (6) derivation short- long-term values. capable filling solving defining success factors implementation. benefits include enhancement process, facilitation decision-making attainment maintenance competitive advantages, improvement innovation, continuance performance.
