Business Model Blueprints for the Shared Mobility Hub Network

Shared (electric) mobility is still facing challenges in terms of reaching its potential as a sustainable solution. Low physical and digital integration with public transport, lack charging infrastructure, the regulatory barriers, nuisance are hindering uptake organization shared services. This study examines case hub, location where concentrated, solution to overcome these challenges. To find ideas informing how network hubs can contribute urban aforementioned challenges, business model innovation approach was adopted. Focus groups, consisting private stakeholders, collaboratively designed five (BM) blueprints, consensus about value creation, delivery, capture mechanisms network. The defined first-/last-mile, clustered, point-of-interest (POI), hybrid, closed hub networks, provide alternative solutions integrate transportation modes into coherent network, enabling multi- intermodal travel behaviour, supporting interoperability, land use, ensured access modes. However, which kind local key stakeholders need commit depends on policy goals context.
