چکیده
Abstract Background Brassinosteroid-insensitive 1 suppressor (BRS1) is a serine carboxypeptidase that mediates brassinosteroid signaling and participates in multiple developmental processes Arabidopsis. However, little known about the precise role of BRS1 this context. Results In study, we analyzed transcriptional proteomic profiles Arabidopsis seedlings overexpressing found gene was involved both cold stress responses redox regulation. Further evidence showed regulated cell by indirectly interacting with cytosolic NADP + -dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase (cICDH). One novel alternative splice form identified over-expression mutants brs1-1D, which may confer new plant development responses. Conclusions This study highlights regulation responses, extends our understanding extracellular carboxypeptidases.

Redox regulation of plant homeodomain transcription factors.
Several families of plant transcription factors contain a conserved DNA binding motif known as the homeodomain. In two of these families, named Hd-Zip and glabra2, the homeodomain is associated with a leucine zipper-like dimerization motif. A group of Hd-Zip proteins, namely Hd-ZipII, contain a set of conserved cysteines within the dimerization motif and adjacent to it. Incubation of one of the...

Higher plants are sedentary organisms which inevitably endure a variety of environmental stresses throughout the life cycle. Abiotic stresses can be atmospheric like cold, heat and UV irradiation; or can also be edaphic like salinity, drought, and heavy metal toxicity (Wani and Gosal, 2011; Surekha et al., 2015). Of all these, cold stress is regarded as a major environmental factor which limits...

Thioredoxin (NTR/TRX) and glutathione (GSH/GRX) are the two major systems which play a key role in the maintenance of cellular redox homeostasis. They are essential for plant development, cell division or the response to environmental stresses. In a recent article, we studied the interplay between the NADP-linked thioredoxin and glutathione systems in auxin signaling genetically, by associating...

Deguelin, a plant-derived rotenoid, mediates potent chemopreventive responses through transcriptional regulation of phorbol ester-induced ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) activity. To explore the mechanism of this effect, the activity of this compound was evaluated with a number of modelsystems.Usingculturedmouseepidermal308cells,thesteady-state levels of both 12-0-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate ...

Temperate plants are capable of developing freezing tolerance when they are exposed to low nonfreezing temperatures. Acquired freezing tolerance involves extensive reprogramming of gene expression and metabolism. Recent full-genome transcript profiling studies, in combination with mutational and transgenic plant analyses, have provided a snapshot of the complex transcriptional network that oper...
