چکیده
Graphical Abstract The antimicrobial mode of action brevicidines. Brevicidines are potent cyclic lipopeptides active against Gram-negative pathogens. They have low hemolytic activity and cytotoxicity. BrevicidineB, a single amino acid residue mutant brevicidine, displays an altered spectrum, showing also Gram-positive Due to disruption the proton motive force pathogens, brevicidines act as bactericidal antibiotics. In addition, brevicidineB acts antibiotic because its capacity cellular membrane.

A New Member of Gamma-Conotoxin Family Isolated from Conus princeps Displays a Novel Molecular Target.
A novel conotoxin, named as PiVIIA, was isolated from the venom of Conus princeps, a marine predatory cone snail collected in the Pacific Southern Coast of Mexico. Chymotryptic digest of the S-alkylated peptide in combination with liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry, were used to define the sequencing of this peptide. Eleven N-terminal amino acids were verified by automate...
متن کاملThe Wingless target gene Dfz3 encodes a new member of the Drosophila Frizzled family
Here we report the identification of Dfz3, a novel member of the Frizzled family of seven-pass transmembrane receptors. Like Dfz2, Dfz3 is a target gene of Wingless (Wg) signalling, but in contrast to Dfz2, it is activated rather than repressed by Wg signalling in imaginal discs. We show that Dfz3 is not required for viability but is necessary for optimal Wg signalling at the wing margin.
متن کاملthe impact of skopos on syntactic features of the target text
the present study is an experimental case study which investigates the impacts, if any, of skopos on syntactic features of the target text. two test groups each consisting of 10 ma students translated a set of sentences selected from advertising texts in the operative and informative mode. the resulting target texts were then statistically analyzed in terms of the number of words, phrases, si...

Baculovirus proteins P49 and P35 are potent suppressors of apoptosis in diverse organisms. Although related, P49 and P35 inhibit initiator and effector caspases, respectively, during infection of permissive insect cells. The molecular basis of this novel caspase specificity is unknown. To advance strategies for selective inhibition of the cell death caspases, we investigated biochemical differe...
