چکیده
The warming Canadian summers have become a major abiotic stress to crops, including pea. In the past decade, attempts were made in understanding of heat effect and genomic mapping for heat-responsive traits field this study, new recombinant inbred line population (PR-24) consisting 39 lines was tested 6 trials 2020 (near normal weather conditions) 2021 (hot/dry conditions). PR-24 phenotyped days flowering (DTF), maturity, plant height, lodging, yield components, plot yield, seed quality traits. Plant height could be an effective indicator prediction, because its correlation with significantly positive all six despite varying degrees drought stress. Under summer conditions 2020, relatively late maturity correlated greater yield; under heat/drought 2021, successful pod development on main stem important final yield. Linkage used dissect regions associated measured Four QTLs identified over multiple trials, one each DTF (chromosome 7), reproductive node number 5), 2), protein concentration 5). Furthermore, two indices, i.e., tolerance index geometric mean previously assessment validated as useful criteria study.

Considerations When Deploying Canopy Temperature to Select High Yielding Wheat Breeding Lines under Drought and Heat Stress
Developing cultivars with improved adaptation to drought and heat stressed environments is a priority for plant breeders. Canopy temperature (CT) is a useful tool for phenotypic selection of tolerant genotypes, as it integrates many physiological responses into a single low-cost measurement. The objective of this study was to determine the ability of CT to predict grain yield within the flow of...
متن کاملEstimating Breeding Value of Agronomic Traits in Oriental Tobacco Genotypes under Broomrape Stress and Normal Conditions
In a breeding program, it is important to find out information about the genes action, because knowledge in this field could help the researchers in their crossing programs and realizing effective selection. In this study, breeding values of different agronomic traits in oriental tobacco were predicted using the best linear unbiased prediction (BLUP) procedure. For this purpose, 89 tobacco geno...
متن کاملOptimal barn characteristics for high-yielding Holstein cows as derived by a new heat-stress model.
Meticulous planning is required to minimize heat-stress conditions in barns. The objective of this study was to determine optimum barn characteristics for high-yielding dairy cows under Israeli (Mediterranean) summer ambient conditions, by using a new stress model that takes ambient temperature, relative humidity and wind velocity into account. During the summers of 2004 and 2005, three meteoro...
متن کاملThe Asymptotic Stress Field for Free Edge Joints under Small - Scale Yielding Conditions
In the complex engineering structures the use of bonded joints are often preferred to more traditional methods of fabrication such as bolts and welds since they are lighter and spread load more evenly. For determination the durability of such structures it is necessary to know well the stress field around stress concentrators. At the free edge of bonded joints between the adhesive and the adher...
متن کاملEffect of Stress Triaxiality on Yielding of Anisotropic Materials under Plane Stress Condition
The triaxiality of the stress state is known to greatly influence the amount of plastic strain which a material may undergo before ductile failure occurs. It is defined as the ratio of hydrostatic pressure, or mean stress, to the von Mises equivalent stress. This paper discusses the effects of stress triaxiality on yielding behavior of anisotropic materials. Hill-von Mises’s criteria for anisot...
