Breakdown characteristics of combined air gaps under lightning impulse

چکیده
With the increase of both voltage level and transmission capacity, more attention has been paid to external insulation lines. As main medium line, air gap’s dielectric strength will change when there are floating conductors. In this paper, we established an experiment platform study effects conductors, simulated by rod electrode, on breakdown voltage, time, electric field distribution discharge physical process long gaps under lightning impulse. The results showed that intervention electrode reduced time gaps, position with longest was same as lowest voltage. addition, improved spatial complexity process.
