Bovine Papillomavirus Type 1 Infection in an Equine Congenital Papilloma
نویسندگان
چکیده
Papillomas are benign epithelial lesions protruding on the surfaces as finger-like or warty projections. These often caused by papillomavirus (PV) infection. Congenital papillomas have been reported in foals. However, to date, no evidence of PV infection has provided. In present paper, we describe main clinical–pathological features a congenital papilloma observed foal. addition, biomolecular tests demonstrated BPV1 case under study. Such data stimulate further investigations, even archived samples, aiming clarifying etiology equine and clinical relevance, if any, vertical transmission horses.

Transcriptional changes induced by bovine papillomavirus type 1 in equine fibroblasts.
Bovine papillomavirus type 1 (BPV-1) and, less commonly, BPV-2 are associated with the pathogenesis of common equine skin tumors termed sarcoids. In an attempt to understand the mechanisms by which BPV-1 induces sarcoids, we used gene expression profiling as a screening tool to identify candidate genes implicated in disease pathogenesis. Gene expression profiles of equine fibroblasts transforme...
متن کاملBAG3 protects Bovine Papillomavirus type 1-transformed equine fibroblasts against pro-death signals
In human cancer cells, BAG3 protein is known to sustain cell survival. Here, for the first time, we demonstrate the expression of BAG3 protein both in equine sarcoids in vivo and in EqS04b cells, a sarcoid-derived fully transformed cell line harbouring bovine papilloma virus (BPV)-1 genome. Evidence of a possible involvement of BAG3 in equine sarcoid carcinogenesis was obtained by immunohistoch...
متن کاملCan established cultured papilloma cells harbor bovine papillomavirus?
Papillomaviruses have been reported to be very difficult to grow in cell culture. Also, there are no descriptions of cell cultures from lesions of bovine cutaneous papillomatosis, with identification of different bovine papilloma virus (BPV) DNA sequences. In the present report, we describe primary cell cultures from samples of cutaneous lesions (warts). We investigated the simultaneous presenc...
متن کاملCo-infection of bovine papillomavirus type-1 and -10 in teat warts of dairy cattle
The present study was carried out to investigate the involvement of different bovine papillomaviruses in the teat warts of cattle. A total of 11 teat wart samples showing rice grain-like and small, sessile elevated greyish or flesh-like growths were collected from dairy cattle. DNA was extracted from these teat wart samples and PCR and real time PCR techniques were applied using specific primer...
متن کاملReplication of bovine papillomavirus type 1 (BPV-1) DNA in Saccharomyces cerevisiae following infection with BPV-1 virions.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae protoplasts exposed to bovine papillomavirus type 1 (BPV-1) virions demonstrated uptake of virions on electron microscopy. S. cerevisiae cells looked larger after exposure to BPV-1 virions, and cell wall regeneration was delayed. Southern blot hybridization of Hirt DNA from cells exposed to BPV-1 virions demonstrated BPV-1 DNA, which could be detected over 80 days of cu...
