Subbases, Convex Sets, and Hyperspaces
S[ and Sg are then said to separate (or: to screen) S± and S2. Finally, Sf is called a binary subbase if each linked system S^ (zS^ (i.e., a subcollection S^' of ^ of which any two members meet) satisfies ς\Sf'φ 0. It is well-known that a binary subbase is TΊ (cf. van Mill [9, Lemma 1]), that a space carrying a binary subbase is compact (use Alexander's lemma), and that a space is completely re...
متن کاملHyperspaces of Closed Limit Sets
We study Michael’s lower semifinite topology and Fell’s topology on the collection of all closed limit subsets of a topological space. Special attention is given to the subfamily of all maximal limit sets.
متن کاملSpline interpolation between hyperspaces of convex or fuzzy sets
We consider the interpolation problem for functions whose range and whose domain both consist of convex or fuzzy subsets of a real Euclidean space. This problem arises in fuzzy controlling, namely when the functional dependence between two fuzzy vectors is known only for finitely many cases. To have a criterion for an appropriate choice of an interpolation function, we generalise the well-known...
متن کاملA Model for Dynamic Hyperspaces
This paper proposes a composition mechanism for hyperslices decomposed in accordance with the Hyperspaces approach. Our composition mechanism aims to maintain each concern (including composition concerns) as a first class entity all through its lifetime, allowing for dynamic change and reconfigureability of the resultant systems. In developing this model we draw on the concern decomposition mec...
متن کاملGeneralising Boundary Sets
This report proposes adaptable boundary sets as a new version-space representation. It is shown that adaptable boundary sets can be adjusted to a version-space representation between boundary sets [5, 6, 7] and instance-based boundary sets [11, 12, 13]. This allows the choice of proper version-space representations to be realised dynamically during the learning phase.
