Boosting Students’ Motivation in Learning Descriptive Writing through Instagram

Throughout years of learning English as a second language in Malaysia, rural area students were still found to be incompetent English, especially writing. The major problem faced by the primary is inability generate ideas with limited vocabulary they acquire. In this 21st century education, many studies have been carried out improve students’ writing skills on Instagram, however, less research could focused schools. Therefore, aims investigate perceptions using Instagram motivation tool descriptive study, quantitative and qualitative methods involved selecting 13 Year 4 Kahang, Johor convenience sampling. Questionnaires semi-structured interviews used data collection method. findings showed that relatively high interested motivated use it for outside classroom. It suggested more interactive activities can conducted future promote among students.
