چکیده
This article studies the influence of biopolymeric viscosity-modifying admixtures with water-retentive function on physico-mechanical properties natural hydraulic lime-based mortars and their adherence to traditional fired-clay brick substrate. The use increases water/binder ratio, which in turn leads a decrease strength mortars. improves adhesive between mortar pre-wetter by increasing binder paste viscosity, while along increased water content may lead strength. On contrary, retention are beneficial dry surface, viscosity plays only minor role. When subjected temperature-varying cycles, more prone in-mortar failure during pull-off test. air-entraining some frost resistance mortars; however, it would negatively affect incorporating pores into contact zone study showed that studied improve adhesion

Behaviour of a starch as a viscosity modifier for aerial lime-based mortars
Different dosages of a commercialized potato starch were added to aerial lime-based mortars in order to check its efficiency as a rheological modifier. Several fresh state properties of the mortars were studied: consistency, density, air content, water retention capacity, setting time and evolution when applied on support. The effect of the starch on -potential of the lime particle surface as ...

The viscosity and electrical conductivity as structure-sensitive transport properties of the liquid metals and alloys are important for modeling of the melting and solidification processes. The viscosity and electrical conductivity data provide additional information about the influence of impurities on the structure and physicochemical properties of the liquid metal matrix, which is useful for...
متن کاملPhysico-Mechanical Properties of Organo-Modified Bentonite Reinforced Cement Mortars
It is demonstrated that the addition of organo-modified Na-bentonite (OMB) particles to Portland cement mortar can promote its physical and mechanical properties. A series of experimental works on some important physico-mechanical properties of Portland cement mortars mixed with various dosages of hydrophobic OMB were performed. The obtained results confirm that the OMB provides a dense packing...
متن کاملHysteresis Phenomenon on Water-Based Nanofluid Viscosity
Dynamic viscosity values for three particular water-based nanofluids have been experimental determined using a commercial ‘piston-type’ viscometer. Viscosity data, expressed as a function of temperature and particle volume fraction, are presented for 29nm particle-size CuO-water and Al2O3-water with 36nm and 47nm particle-sizes, temperatures up to 75°C and particle volume fraction up to 9%. In ...
