Blood transfusion malaria among blood donors in the Central Blood Bank in Kassala State, Sudan

Background and aims:
 Although blood transfusion is generally believed to save human lives, can be a vehicle for the transmission of some infectious parasitic diseases including malaria. So, this study aims determine prevalence malaria among donors in Central Blood Bank Kassala State, according age groups.
 Materials methods:
 A cross-sectional was carried out central bank State donors; involved one hundred samples, collected from aged 18 41 years. 
 Results:
 The results showed that 1 (1%) infected with parasite. also species parasite Plasmodium falciparum; other were not found. revealed most group O, while AB least common group; harbored groups tested negative. highest number found 24-29, positive donor same group. Conclusions:
 Both films immune chromatography test result percentage 1%.
