Biventricular isolated apical hypoplasia: First-time description of a new cardiac abnormality by multimodality imaging

چکیده
Left ventricular isolated hypoplasia is a seldom-described cardiac abnormality. Right usually associated with congenital anomalies of the pulmonary or tricuspid valve, whereas biventricular apical has never been described. We report case 48-year-old man no history known disease who was found to have complex abnormality characterized by: 1) Deficiency myocardium within apex adipose tissue infiltration; 2) Truncated right ventricle because an absent trabecular portion inflow tract; 3) and spherical left apex; 4) Origin mitral papillary muscle in flattened anterior apex. Multimodality imaging performed delineate morphological functional characteristics this cardiomyopathy fully. To best our knowledge, first description new by region both ventricles absence valvular coronary artery disease.

introduction while primary malignant tumors of the heart are rare, angiosarcomas are the most common cardiac malignant tumors. case presentation we describe a 23-year-old woman who presented with a right atrial mass, which was discovered to be a cardiac angiosarcoma. we demonstrate the use of several noninvasive imaging modalities along with pathology confirmation for the definitive and compreh...

the apex of the right ventricular cavity as the left intraventricular pressure increases. Differential diagnosis of this pathology requires the presence of left ventricular hypoplasia, aneurysms and ventricular diverticula. The ventricular hypoplasia is characterized by a small and hypertrophic ventricular chamber and dysplastic cardiac valves. The diverticul originates on the ventricular wall ...
متن کاملCONGENITAL HEART DISEASE Isolated left ventricular apical hypoplasia: a new congenital anomaly described with cardiac tomography
Objective: To describe cardiac tomography findings of an apparently new, presumably congenital, left ventricular (LV) abnormality noted consistently in three patients. Patients: Three patients presenting with non-specific symptoms including fatigue, shortness of breath, or chest discomfort were evaluated with cardiac tomography for cardiac structure and function. Results: Findings from the thre...
