Branching Bisimulation with Explicit Divergence
We consider the relational characterisation of branching bisimulation with explicit divergence. We prove that it is an equivalence relation and that it coincides with the original definition of branching bisimulation with explicit divergence in terms of coloured traces. We also establish a correspondence with several variants of an action-based modal logic with untiland divergence modalities.
متن کاملVerifying Concurrent Stacks by Divergence-Sensitive Bisimulation
The verification of linearizability – a key correctness criterion for concurrent objects – is based on trace refinement whose checking is PSPACE-complete. This paper suggests to use branching bisimulation instead. Our approach is based on comparing an abstract specification in which object methods are executed atomically to a real object program. Exploiting divergence sensitivity, this also app...
متن کاملBranching bisimulation equivalence with explicit divergence
We consider the relational characterisation of branching bisimilarity with explicit divergence. We prove that it is an equivalence and that it coincides with the original definition of branching bisimilarity with explicit divergence in terms of coloured traces. We also establish a correspondence with several variants of an action-based modal logic with untiland divergence modalities.
متن کاملCo-induction Characterization of Branching Bisimulation with Explicit Divergence∗
Branching bisimulation with explicit divergence, introduced by van Glabbeek and Weijland, is an important relation between processes. It is the weakest equivalence relation which is a branching bisimulation and at the same time divergence preserving. Like branching bisimulation, it has two major characterizations in the literature: a relational characterization and a coloured trace characteriza...
متن کاملDating divergence of Polystigma and other Sordariomycetes
Studies on the evolutionary history of ascomycetes in terms of time scale will help to understand historical patterns that shape their biodiversity. Until now most of dating studies of ascomycetes have focused on major events in fungal evolution but not on divergence events within smaller groups of fungi e.g. within Sordariomycetes. We used molecular dating to estimate the time of separation of...
