2,4,6-Triamino-1,3,5-triazine-1,3-diium aqua­penta­fluoridoaluminate

The title compound, (C(3)H(8)N(6))[AlF(5)(H(2)O)], was obtained by solvothermal synthesis from the reaction of aluminium hydroxide, 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine (melamine), aqueous HF and water at 323 K for 48 h. The structure consists of [AlF(5)(H(2)O)](2-) octa-hedra and diprotonated melaminium cations. Cohesion is ensured by a three-dimensional network of hydrogen bonds.

In the title hydrated mol-ecular salt, C(6)H(16)N(2) (2+)·2Br(-)·2H(2)O, the complete 1,4-dimethyl-piperazine-1,4-diium dication is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry and both exocyclic C-N bonds are in equatorial orientations. In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H⋯O and O-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds, generating chains propagating in [110].

The title compound, (C(5)H(14)N(2))[CuCl(4)], was synthesized by hydro-thermal reaction of CuCl(2) with 1-methyl-piperazine in an HCl/water solution. Both amine N atoms are protonated. The piperazine ring adopts a chair conformation. The Cu-Cl distances in the tetrahedral anion are in the range 2.2360 (7)-2.2732 (7) Å.
