چکیده

Agro-wastes, such as crop residues, leaf litter, and sawdust, are major contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions, consequently a concern for climate change. Nowadays, mushroom cultivation has appeared an emerging agribusiness that helps in the sustainable management of agro-wastes. However, partial utilization agro-wastes by mushrooms results generation significant quantity spent substrates (SMS) have continued become environmental problem. In particular, Shiitake (Lentinula edodes Berk.) can be grown on different types also generate considerable amount SMS. Therefore, this study investigates biotransformation SMS obtained after into biogas attendant slurry digestate (SD) tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) fertilization. Biogas production experiments were conducted anaerobically using four treatments SMS, i.e., 0% (control), 25, 50, 75% inoculated with proportional cow dung (CD) inoculum. The revealed 50% treatment yielded highest volume (8834 mL or 11.93 mL/g organic carbon) methane contents (61%) along maximum reduction physicochemical proximate parameters slurry. Furthermore, from further helped increase seed germination (93.25%), seedling length (9.2 cm), root (4.19 plant height (53.10 chlorophyll content (3.38 mg/g), total yield (1.86 kg/plant), flavonoids (5.06 phenolics (2.78 tannin (3.40 mg/g) significantly (p < 0.05) 10% loading rate. findings suggest upcycling inspired circular economy approach through synergistic bioenergy secondary fruit crops, which could potentially contribute minimize carbon footprints sector.

Construction of a genetic linkage map of shiitake mushroom Lentinula edodes strain L-54.

From fruiting bodies of L. edodes strain L-54, single-spore isolates (SSIs) were collected. Two parental types of L-54 were regenerated via monokaryotization. By means of random-amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD), DNA samples from L-54, its two parental types, and 32 SSIs were amplified with arbitrary primers. Dedikaryotization was demonstrated, and 91 RAPD-based molecular markers were generated....

Shiitake Lentinula Edodes Production on a Sterilized Bagasse Substrate Enriched with Rice Bran and Sugarcane Molasses

This investigation was performed to evaluate the biological efficiency (BE), mean mushroom weight (MMW), mean number of mushroom (MNM) and mushroom quality of Shiitake [Lentinula edodes (Berk.) Pegler] when grown on a sterilized substrate composed by sugarcane bagasse enriched with rice bran and sugarcane molasses. The proportions of rice bran were 0, 15, 20, 25 and 30% (dry weight/dry weight o...

Production of Shiitake ( Lentinula edodes ) Mushrooms in Lignocellulosic Residues

Lignocellulosic residues were tested as artificial log to mushroom production of Lentinula edodes. Three isolates of L. edodes were grown in substrates based on corn bog, and sawdust or bark of eucalypt, enriched with rice bran 20%. The biological efficiency (BE) were higher when corn borg and sawdust was used and the isolate UFV 73 was that presented well shaped mushrooms and higher productivi...

Starch Concentrations in Log-Grown Shiitake Mushrooms (Lentinula edodes (Berk.) Pegler)

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes (Berk.) Pegler) mushrooms have a reputation as a healthy food, in part from the abundance of different polysaccharides that may have functional food activities. However, the total polysaccharide content of mushrooms may not represent the functional food activity if they contain significant concentrations of starch. There are few reports characterizing the starch conte...

Antimutagenic effect of Lentinula edodes (BERK.) Pegler mushroom and possible variation among lineages.

This study was performed to evaluate the efficiency of four different lineages (95/01, L1, 96/22 and JABK) of Lentinula edodes (BERK.) Pegler mushroom (shiitake) for inhibiting the N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU) clastogenicity in vivo. Male Swiss mice (10 animals/group) were treated during 15 consecutive days with dried mushroom added to basal diet under three different concentrations (1, 5 and 10...
