Biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using <i>Tamarix articulata</i> leaf extract: an effective approach for attenuation of oxidative stress mediated diseases

To investigate the biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (T-AgNPs) using leaf extract Tamarix articulata and their possible role in attenuation oxidative stress mediated human diseases. T-AgNPs were characterized by several biophysical techniques. Various health beneficial activities also investigated. The synthesized showed an absorption peak at 413 nm on UV-Visible spectroscopy indicating surface plasmon resonance nanoparticles. TEM analysis clearly that particles spherical with average size about 25 nm. SEM image confirmed shape T-AgNPs. (600 µg/ml) effective DPPH scavenging (68.23%), ferric reducing hydrogen peroxide (70.09%) activities. Besides, 600 µg/ml, strong anti-glycating, AGEs formation inhibitory as indicated reduced browning intensity (51.62%), aggregation index (48.86%), cross amyloid structures (53.62%) compared to positive controls (100%). A µg/ml was found have potent vitro anti-inflammatory activity revealed albumin denaturation inhibition (73.19%), protease (70.196%), membrane stability against heat (74.16%), hyposaline (72.98%) induced hemolysis controls. Altogether, these findings confirm can be promising candidates for development antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, stabilizing, antiglycating agents.
