چکیده
Abstract Microalgae cultivation medium was an important component which is related to the economic aspects and its effects on cell life in culture. Synthetic widely used but because of less economical, necessary look for alternative substitute medium. This could come from industrial household waste. Some organic microalgae Spirulina platensis have been studied. One source waste other industries derived oil palm such as POME (Palm Oil Mill Effluent) Slurry known one high protein biomass phycocyanin biopigment. Biomass pigment production influenced by photoperiod. The research objective determine influence (Walne synthetic medium) photoperiod culture productivity phycocyanin. C-PHYCOCYANIN EXTRACTION FROM Spirulina platensis WET BIOMASS
C-Phycocyanin is a natural blue dye used in food and pharmaceutical industry. In the present study, a simple and efficient method to extract C-phycocyanin from Spirulina platensis wet biomass is reported. The extractions were carried out using six different methods, including chemical (organic and inorganic acid treatment), physical (freezing and thawing, sonication, homogenization) and enzymat...
متن کاملEnhancement of biomass and phycocyanin content of Spirulina platensis.
Response surface methodology (RSM) based on the 23 factorial central composite design (CCD) was employed to evaluate optimum culture conditions (temperature, light irradiance and agitation) to enhance biomass and phycocyanin content of Spirulina platensis. The predicted maximum biomass and phycocyanin content by RSM was 1.06 g L-1 and 107 mg L-1, respectively, whereas maximum biomass and phycoc...
متن کاملOptimization of light conditions by affecting the growth and production of C-Phycocyanin in Spirulina platensis microalgae
Spirulina microalgae are a rich source of protein and valuable biological compounds. One of the most important Spirulina microalgae pigments is phycocyanin. Phycocyanin is widely used in industries as a natural blue pigment and it’s also an effective antioxidant. In order to improve phycocyanin production as well as Spirulina growth, by autotrophic cultivation considering that autotrophic culti...
متن کاملOptimization,Purification and characterization of Phycocyanin from Spirulina platensis
A method for stably purifying a functional dye, phycocyanin from Spirulina platensis was developed by freezing and thawing method. Among various buffers used for phycocyanin yield efficiency sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7 and 0.1 M) was found to be most suitable for highest yield. During comparison of various buffers, sodium phosphate buffer was found as best buffer with 146 ±0.265 mg/g phycobil...
متن کاملConformational Studies on C-Phycocyanin from Spirulina platensis
Bile Pigments, Protein Interaction, Conformation, Denaturation The chromophore-protein interactions of C-phycocyanin (C-PC) from Spirulina platensis have been studied by following the partial and complete denaturation with UV-Vis spectroscopy. From comparison with published MO calculations, an elongated conformation of the chromophore is sug gested for native C-PC, a cyclic one for denatured C...
