چکیده
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is most commonly cultivated food grain crop in India as well over the world. susceptible to many destructive diseases, among them bacterial diseases reported major constrain their production which causes significant yield loss. Major affecting viz., Bacterial leaf blight (BLB) (Xanthomons oryzae pv. oryzae), streak (BLS) (Xanthomonas oryaze oryzacola) and panicle (BPB) (Burkholderia glumae) Brown stripe (BBS) (Pseudomonas avenae) are of regular occurrence. On basis severity economic losses BPB, BLB BLS respectively by researchers. Management such disease a challenge without harming environment human health. Chemicals having adverse effect on natural ecosystem not economically feasible. In this review management eco-friendly approach discussed. Adopting practices helpful maintaining cost benefit ratio resulting profit. These can reduce harmful residual chemical. It also suggests at about adopting effective cultural physical method.

Inhibitory Effect of Camptothecin against Rice Bacterial Brown Stripe Pathogen Acidovorax avenae subsp. avenae RS-2.
Camptothecin (CPT) has anticancer, antiviral, and antifungal properties. However, there is a dearth of information about antibacterial activity of CPT. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the inhibitory effect of CPT on Acidovorax avenae subsp. avenae strain RS-2, the pathogen of rice bacterial brown stripe, by measuring cell growth, DNA damage, cell membrane integrity, the expression of ...

This is a status paper on a destructive rice disease –bacterial blight (BB), caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo). We review the occurrence and spread of this disease, the taxonomy and classification of the pathogen and strategies for disease management. Studies on pathogen variation have revealed that breeding with single major genes for resistance, may be ineffective due to resistanc...
متن کاملRole of the Genes of Type VI Secretion System in Virulence of Rice Bacterial Brown Stripe Pathogen Acidovorax avenae subsp. avenae Strain RS-2
The Type VI secretion system (T6SS) is a class of macromolecular machine that is required for the virulence of gram-negative bacteria. However, it is still not clear what the role of T6SS in the virulence of rice bacterial brown stripe pathogen Acidovorax avenae subsp. avenae (Aaa) is. The aim of the current study was to investigate the contribution of T6SS in Aaa strain RS2 virulence using ins...
متن کاملHigh-throughput sequencing for the study of bacterial pathogen biology
A revolution in sequencing technologies in recent years has led to dramatically increased throughput and reduced cost of bacterial genome sequencing. An increasing number of applications of the new technologies are providing broad insights into bacterial evolution, epidemiology, and pathogenesis. For example, the capacity to sequence large numbers of bacterial isolates is enabling high resoluti...
