چکیده
Tetranychus bastosi Tuttle, Baker and Sales (Acari: Tetranychidae) has been observed in more than 36 host species it is considered a potential pest mite for several crops, however its occurrence still restricted to Brazil. The present study determined the biological, reproductive parameters preference of T. three plant species: Morus rubra L. (Moraceae); Ipomoea batatas (Convolvulaceae); Psidium guajava (Myrtaceae). incubation period eggs was longer M. (5.9 days), followed by I. P. (4.0 days both). longest larval (5.7 days). durations protonymph deutonymph stages were recorded (3 days) (2.3 However, could not complete life cicle on guajava. from egg adult (30 highest longevity hosts (39.8 30.2 days, respectively). average duration generation (T) 21.3 days. Nevertheless, intrinsic capacity population increase (rm) finite rate (λ) no differences rubra. In this sense, presents high biological performance rubra, suitable red spider mite.

Effects of Bt+CpTI transgenic cotton on the performance of Tetranychus turkestani (Acari: Tetranychidae)
Transgenic cotton is very effective in controlling targeted pests such as cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera). However, increases in spider mite (Acari: Tetranychidae) populations have been reported in fields of transgenic cotton. The objectives of our laboratory experiments were (i) to determine host plant preference (transgenic or non-transgenic cotton) of T. turkestani females and (ii) to...

Leaf extracts of the walnut, Juglans regia L., were evaluated under laboratory conditions to determine their acaricidal activity on the mites Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisduval) and Tetranychus viennensis Zacher (Acari: Tetranychidae). Extracts had both contact and systemic toxicity to these mites. The four solvents tested for preparing crude extracts were petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl ac...

The two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae), is an economically important pest of ornamental plant in Iran. The population abundance and spatial distribution were studied on five Rosa cultivars including Maroussia, Wendela, Elderado, Wenedetta, and Hot Lady during two growing seasons of 2011 and 2012 in greenhouse. The k parameter, index of dispersion, Lloyd’s m...

Schrad (Macrophomina), were bioassayed to determine their acaricidal activities against Tetranychus urticae Koch, Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisduval), and Tetranychus viennensis Zacher (Acari: Tetranychidae) in the laboratory. Extracts had both contact and systemic toxicity to these mites. Three solvents were tested for preparing cru...
متن کاملAlternative control of Tetranychus evansi Baker & Pritchard (Acari: Tetranychidae) on tomato plants grown in greenhouses.
Tetranychus evansi Baker & Pritchard is an important pest of solanaceous plants, including tomatoes. This mite is characterized by a high reproductive rate, which leads to high population growth in a short period of time causing important economic damage. Control of T. evansi is mainly through synthetic acaricides. In searching for environmentally friendly control measures, we evaluated the eff...
