چکیده
Lamiaceae family includes various medicinal and aromatic plants used in cosmetics pharmaceutical industries. The present study aimed to investigate vitro the cytotoxic, photoprotective antioxidant activities of ten taxa; Melissa officinalis subsp. altissima (Sm.) Arcang., Rosmarinus L., Salvia Sideritis cypria Post, S. euboea Heldr., perfoliata L. perfoliata, scardica Griseb., sipylea Boiss., Stachys iva Thymus vulgaris aqueous extract was bio-guided fractionated obtain main bioactive metabolites, which were evaluated for aforementioned effects their wound-healing potential. In total, five compounds isolated identified through NMR spectra, namely salvianic acid A, rosmarinic acid, salvianolic K, luteolin-3′-O-β-D-glucuronide hispidulin-7-O-β-D-glucuronide. All non while no statistically significant oxidative stress reduction obtained. Regarding potential, K most promising candidate. Overall, this suggests natural agents from species, widely found Greece, provides a better insight into its constituents.
