چکیده
Due to their similar coordination properties, discrimination of Cu+ and Ag+ by water-soluble luminescent probes is challenging. We have synthesized LCC4Eu, an 18 amino acid cyclic peptide bearing a europium complex, which able bind one or ion the side chains two methionines, histidine 3-(1-naphthyl)-l-alanine. In this system, naphthyl moiety establishes cation−π interaction with these cations. It also acts as antenna for sensitization Eu3+ luminescence. Interestingly, when excited at 280 nm, LCC4Eu behaves turn-on probe (+150% Eu emission) turn-off (−50% emission). Shifting excitation wavelength 305 nm makes responsive (+380% but not other physiological Thus, uniquely capable discriminating from Cu+. A detailed spectroscopic characterization based on steady-state time-resolved measurements clearly demonstrates that relies electronic energy transfer naphthalene triplet state states lowers 700 2400 cm–1 Cu+, respectively. Spectroscopic data point modulation efficiency caused differential red shift triplet, deciphering luminescence response toward

Synthesis of luminescent europium defects in diamond.
Lanthanides are vital components in lighting, imaging technologies and future quantum memory applications owing to their narrow optical transitions and long spin coherence times. Recently, diamond has become a pre-eminent platform for the realisation of many experiments in quantum information science. Here we demonstrate a promising approach to incorporate Eu ions into diamond, providing a mean...
متن کاملA europium(III) chelate as an efficient time-gated luminescent probe for nitric oxide.
The first Eu(3+) chelate-based luminescent probe specific for nitric oxide (NO) has been designed and synthesized for highly sensitive and selective time-gated luminescence detection of NO. Based on the probe, a time-gated luminescence imaging technique was developed for imaging the endogenous NO production in living plant cells/tissues.
متن کاملLuminescent Probe Based Techniques for Hypoxia Imaging
Hypoxia refers to an inadequate oxygen supply or low oxygen concentration and is the major cause of various diseases as oxygen plays a crucial role in many pathological and physiological processes in biological systems [1]. Hypoxic conditions i.e. areas with pO2 values ≤2.5 mmHg are known to be associated with solid tumors, stroke, cardiac ischemia, inflammatory diseases [2-5], vascular disease...
متن کاملThiol-reactive luminescent chelates of terbium and europium.
Thiol-reactive lanthanide complexes have been synthesized that are luminescent when bound to terbium and/or europium. The complexes consist of a diethylenetriaminepentaacetate (DTPA) chelate covalently joined through one amide bond to a chromophore, carbostyril 124, and via a second amide bond to a maleimide, bromoacetamide, or pyridyldithio moiety. Site-specific attachment and characterization...
متن کاملCrystal Structure and Spectroscopic Characterization of a Luminescent Europium Chelate
We report the crystal structure at 1 Å resolution of europium bound to diethylenetriaminepentaacetate covalently coupled to an organic chromophore, carbostyril 124 (DTPA-cs124; carbostyril 124 ) 7-amino-4-methyl-2(1H)quinolinone). The complex is highly luminescent in solution and in the crystal form. The Eu-DTPA-cs124 crystallizes in the space group C2/c with two molecules in the asymmetric uni...
