چکیده

Salmonella Typhimurium is a zoonotic bacterium that can cause salmonellosis, and the major concerns of S. for food industry are its ability to obtain multidrug resistance form biofilms on food-contact surfaces. In current study, antimicrobial strong biofilm former M3 was assessed by diffusion method. Genome sequencing also applied genes related antibiotic resistance, formation M3. Biofilm-forming capacity found be strain dependent, high number isolates were formers. The biofilm-forming isolate resistant oxacillin, lincomycin, rifampicin, tetracycline, clindamycin, with MIC values 512 μg/mL, 32 16 64 respectively. Genomic annotation showed presence involved in cellulose biosynthesis, curli production, fimbriae flagellar assemble, quorum sensing, chemotaxis, some transcriptional regulators. Antibiotic efflux conferring genes, inactivation target alteration identified. results expand scientific understanding how survive stressful conditions industry.

Biofilm formation and antibiotic resistance in Salmonella Typhimurium are affected by different ribonucleases.

Biofilm formation and antibiotic resistance are important determinants for bacterial pathogenicity. Ribonucleases control RNA degradation and there is increasing evidence that they have an important role in virulence mechanisms. In this report, we show that ribonucleases affect susceptibility against ribosome-targeting antibiotics and biofilm formation in Salmonella.

Molecular Characterization of a Salmonella Typhimurium Isolate from Caspian Pony

Typhoid disease or salmonellosis is a common sickness in horses. In several epidemiological studies inhospitalized horses, several serotypes of Salmonella often are predominant in nosocomial infections.Transportation, overcrowding, dehydration, oral antimicrobial therapy and infections are the risk factorswhich may activate latent or subclinical salmonellosis. In this study, t...

Brominated furanones inhibit biofilm formation by Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium.

Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium is a main cause of bacterial food-borne diseases. As Salmonella can form biofilms in which it is better protected against antimicrobial agents on a wide diversity of surfaces, it is of interest to explore ways to inhibit biofilm formation. Brominated furanones, originally extracted from the marine alga Delisea pulchra, are known to interfere with biofilm ...

Biofilm formation by Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium colonizing solid tumours.

Systemic administration of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium to tumour bearing mice results in preferential colonization of the tumours and retardation of tumour growth. Although the bacteria are able to invade the tumour cells in vitro, in tumours they were never detected intracellularly. Ultrastructural analysis of Salmonella-colonized tumours revealed that the bacteria had formed biofi...
