Bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) potential in jet fuel production from forestry residues: A combined Techno-Economic and Life Cycle Assessment approach

In this study, the economic and environmental feasibility of a process configuration based on Bioenergy Carbon Capture Storage (BECCS) concept is assessed. The research analyses production jet fuel from forestry residues-derived syngas via Fischer-Tropsch (FT) technology. Further, CO2 removed in cleaning section not released to environment, instead it permanently sequestrated. produced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) has potential achieve negative emissions. present one-of-a-kind study for within BECCS concept. been modelled Aspen Plus Matlab software obtain detailed realistic mass energy balances.
