Biodiversity of Lepidoptera fauna in horticultural ecosystem in RVSAC-Usilampatti, Thanjavur

Biodiversity is a function of the number any taxon present, evenness with which taxons are distributed (species or family evenness) and interaction component richness evenness. The present investigation was carried out to study arthropod biodiversity in Horticulture ecosystem at RVS Agricultural College, Thanjavur, India. farm lies between 10.6796° N latitude 78.9194° E longitude an altitude 426.7M above MSL. insect collections were done both Agri-Horticultural crops (Maize, Castor, Thenai, Cotton, Mango, Sapota, Coconut, Guava some weeds). In study, total 39 fauna species (butterflies) recorded horticultural under genera, 14 families 1 order observed ecosystem. Among families, Nymphalidae consists many followed by Noctuidae. It also 11 Noctuidae (10 species). different functional groups, diversity herbivores tourist maximum comprised 27 13 tourists. Species index calculated for comparison within weekly collection know variance lepidopteron species. concluded that found be abundant during winter 2018 summer 2019.
