چکیده
The field of extracellular vesicles (EVs) has seen a tremendous paradigm shift in the past two decades, from being regarded as cellular waste bags to considered essential mediators intercellular communication. Their unique ability transfer macromolecules across cells and biological barriers made them rising star drug delivery. Mounting evidence suggests that EVs can be explored efficient delivery vehicles for range therapeutic macromolecules. In contrast many synthetic systems, these appear exceptionally well tolerated vivo. This development application been through technological advancement labelling understanding vivo biodistribution EVs. Here this review, we have summarised recent findings EV pharmacokinetics discussed various need surpassed achieve tissue-specific

EXTRACELLULAR VESICLES AND THEIR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS: A REVIEW
Background & Aims: Extracellular vesicles are double phospholipid layer vesicles releasing from several cells. These particles contain bio-molecules including mRNA, miRNA, DNA, proteins, and lipids which play a pivotal role in the cell to cell communication. Once delivered, they participate to change target cell function, fate, morphology, differentiation, and growth. The present study is a re...
متن کاملTherapeutic Potential of Extracellular Vesicles
Extracellular vesicles (EV) have emerged as important mediators of intercellular communication. By their origin, we can find vesicles derived from plasma membrane such as microvesicles, ectosomes, and membrane particles or exosomes, which originate in the endosomal membrane compartment. They contain numerous proteins, lipids, and even nucleic acids like mRNA and miRNA that can affect the cells ...
متن کاملTowards Therapeutic Delivery of Extracellular Vesicles: Strategies for In Vivo Tracking and Biodistribution Analysis
Extracellular vesicles (EVs), such as microvesicles and exosomes, are membranous structures containing bioactive material released by several cells types, including mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs). Increasing lines of evidences point to EVs as paracrine mediators of the beneficial effects on tissue remodeling associated with cell therapy. Administration of MSCs-derived EVs has therefore t...
متن کاملBiodistribution, Uptake and Effects Caused by Cancer-Derived Extracellular Vesicles
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have recently emerged as important mediators of intercellular communication. They are released in the extracellular space by a variety of normal and cancerous cell types and have been found in all human body fluids. Cancer-derived EVs have been shown to carry lipids, proteins, mRNAs, non-coding and structural RNAs and even extra-chromosomal DNA, which can be taken u...
متن کاملFocus on Extracellular Vesicles: Therapeutic Potential of Stem Cell-Derived Extracellular Vesicles
The intense research focus on stem and progenitor cells could be attributed to their differentiation potential to generate new cells to replace diseased or lost cells in many highly intractable degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer disease, multiple sclerosis, and heart diseases. However, experimental and clinical studies have increasingly attributed the therapeutic efficacy of these cells t...
