چکیده
Abstract This study evaluates the potential of local fish waste oil as a feedstock for biodiesel via supercritical methanol transesterification (SCMT). Hexane was used cosolvent and reaction carried out in continuous reactor under conditions. The response surface methodology (RSM) method applied to analyse effect four independent variables, including weight ratio fish-waste (W), temperature (T), pressure (P) feed flow rate (F), on yield production methanol. According calculated optimal operating condition RSM, values W (22.3 oil), T (270°C), P (112.7 bar) F (2.0 mL min–1) were achieved. Under optimum conditions, highest estimated be 94.6% (g/g). obtained found close theoretical (95.2%). value suggests that proposed strategy has promising fuel.

Biodiesel Production from Acidified Oils via Supercritical Methanol
In biodiesel production, the vegetable oil used as raw material for transesterification should be free of water and free fatty acids (FFAs), which may consume catalyst and reduce catalyst efficiency. In this work biodiesel was prepared from acidified oils (AO) through a supercritical methanol route, in which the esterification of FFAs and transesterification of glyceride with methanol occurred ...

The synthesis of biodiesel fuel from lipids (vegetable oils and animal fats) has gained in importance as a possible source of renewable non-fossil energy in an attempt to reduce our dependence on petroleum-based fuels. The catalytic processes commonly used for the production of biodiesel fuel present a series of limitations and drawbacks, among them the high energy consumption required for comp...

Oils of a significant value both as fuels as well as for cosmetic applications can be extracted from the fruits of the jojoba plant. After extracting the oil, the remains of the fruit can still be further utilized as a solid fuel in furnaces or feedstock to animals. In the present work, the solid waste jojoba remains have been processed chemically to extract more biodiesel oil. The physical and...

Transesterification of vegetable oils in supercritical methanol are carried out without using any catalyst. Methyl esters of vegetable oils or biodiesels have several outstanding advantages among other new-renewable and clean engine fuel alternatives and can be used in any diesel engine without modification. The most important variables affecting the methyl ester yield during the transesterific...
متن کاملEfficient Synthesis of Biodiesel From Waste Cooking Oil Catalysed by Al2O3 Impregnated with NaOH
Due to the high price of virgin vegetable oils and the drawbacks of the homogeneous catalytic transesterification, in this work an economically profitable alternative process was proposed for biodiesel synthesis in which transesterification of the low-cost waste cooking oil (WCO) with methanol in a heterogeneous system was done. Alumina impregnated with sodium hydroxide was utilized as a solid ...
