چکیده
Mechanical robustness, biocompatibility, and antibacterial performance are key features for materials suitable to be used in tissue engineering applications. In this work, we investigated the link existing between structural functional properties of TiCu(Ag) thin films deposited by physical vapor deposition magnetron sputtering (MS-PVD) on Si substrates. Thin were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), nanoindentation, atomic force microscopy (AFM), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The showed complete amorphous structure improved mechanical comparison with pure Ti films. However, contents excess 20% Ag observed appearance nanometric crystallite. displayed excellent biocompatibility properties, allowing adhesion proliferation human fibroblasts MRC-5 cell line. Moreover, all alloys display bactericidal preventing growth both Pseudomonas aeruginosa Staphylococcus aureus. Results obtained from biological tests have been correlated surface microstructure these multifunctional opens their use

DEPOSITION OF THIN TiO2 FILMS BY DC MAGNETRON SPUTTERING METHOD
Sputter deposition process is another old technique being used in modern semiconductor industries. Sputtering is a process that can deposit TiO2 material on wafer/glass substrates. In this process target is connected to negative high voltage. Further argon gas is introduced into the chamber and is ionized to a positive charge. The positively charged argon atoms are attracted and strike the nega...
متن کاملMechanical Properties and Microstructural Evolution of Ta/TaNx Double Layer Thin Films Deposited by Magnetron Sputtering
Crystalline tantalum thin films of about 500nm thickness were deposited on AISI 316L stainless steel substrate using magnetron sputtering. To investigate the nano-mechanical properties of tantalum films, deposition was performed at two temperatures (25°C and 200°C) on TaNx intermediate layer with different N2/Ar flow rate ratio from 0 to 30%. Nano-indentation was performed to obtain the mechani...
متن کاملBiocompatibility and Surface Properties of TiO2 Thin Films Deposited by DC Magnetron Sputtering
We present the study of the biocompatibility and surface properties of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) thin films deposited by direct current magnetron sputtering. These films are deposited on a quartz substrate at room temperature and annealed with different temperatures (100, 300, 500, 800 and 1100 °C). The biocompatibility of the TiO₂ thin films is analyzed using primary cultures of dorsal root gang...
متن کاملTi-Si-C thin films produced by magnetron sputtering: correlation between physical properties, mechanical properties and tribological behavior.
Ti-Si-C thin films were deposited onto silicon, stainless steel and high-speed steel substrates by magnetron sputtering, using different chamber configurations. The composition of the produced films was obtained by Electron Probe Micro-Analysis (EPMA) and the structure by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The hardness and residual stresses were obtained by depth-sensing indentation and substrate deflect...
