چکیده
Background The mid-sternum is the main source of pain after open cardiac surgery. aim this study was to investigate effect bilateral transversus thoracis muscle plane (TTMP) blocks on Methods Sixty patients were randomly divided into two groups: TTMP (TP group) or no nerve block (CO group). primary endpoint perioperative sufentanil consumption. secondary outcome measures included postoperative pain, flurbiprofen axetil administration, quality sleep extubation, time return gastrointestinal function, drain removal, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) stay time, and hospital stay. Results TP group reported significantly less consumption than CO group. had higher Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) scores at 1, 2, 6, 12, 24 h extubation both rest during movement groups. Compared with group, time first bowel movement, ICU decreased in rated as better nights extubation. Conclusion Bilateral can provide good analgesia for undergoing surgery promote recovery.

متن کاملEfficacy of Adding Magnesium Sulfate to Ropivacaine in Ultrasound-guided Transversus Abdominis Plane Block on Analgesia After Open Appendectomy
Introduction: Proper management of postoperative pain relieves the patient’s discomfort, reduces the length of hospitalization, reduces hospital costs, and increases patient satisfaction. This study was aimed to determine the efficacy of adding magnesium sulfate to ropivacaine 0.25% in transverse abdominis plane (TAP) block under ultrasound guidance on analgesia after open appendectomy. Method...

OBJECTIVE We aimed to compare the first 24-hour postoperative analgesic efficiency of ultrasound (USG)-assisted transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block to IV morphine patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) in patients undergoing lower abdominal surgery. METHODS Fifty ASA I-III patients were included into this randomised, prospective clinical study. At end of surgery, Group 1 received 1 mg kg(-1) ...
متن کاملTransversus abdominis plane block for postoperative analgesia after laparoscopic surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
BACKGROUND The increasing use of the transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block, as a form of pain relief after laparoscopic surgery, warrants evaluation of its effectiveness, when compared with other analgesic techniques. METHODS We searched online databases of MEDLINE, EMBASE, Google scholar and The Cochrane Database of Systematic Review. Mean differences (MD) were formulated for continuous da...

Purpose. Transversus abdominis plane (TAP) blocks have been shown to reduce pain and opioid requirements after abdominal surgery. The aim of the present case series was to demonstrate the use of TAP catheter injections of bupivacaine after major abdominal surgery. Methods. Fifteen patients scheduled for open colonic resection surgery were included. After induction of anesthesia, bilateral TAP c...
