چکیده

Wildfire are increasingly frequent events on a planet undergoing climate change. With more favourable conditions for their occurrence, like prolonged periods of drought, the frequency and intensity these catastrophes continue to increase. Protected areas important territories conserving ecosystems biodiversity around world serve as key management tool in national environmental policies. Many studies have been developed assess conditions, frequency, fires, and, other hand, protected intensively studied understand whether conservation actions effective keeping ecosystem balanced. However, there few that contemplate two themes together. Consequently, this study offers bibliometric analysis wildfires its occurrence areas, aiming spatial temporal relation between them, characteristics research studies, trending issues be worked on. We used Bibliometrix package R language, which provides option different methods analysing data evolution published documents about areas. In total, 1116 publications were analysed, ranging from 1970 2022. The findings show terms “fires” (185 occurrences), “fire” (117), “wildfire” (101), “forest fire” (92) frequently associated with topics including (304), (221), protection (188), deforestation (148), (138), forestry (133), change (126) well (399). highest growth has registered since 2002. majority by authors universities USA (77), South Africa (72), United Kingdom (22), Brazil (19). leads all countries 7 top 10 international collaborations, followed Brazil, Australia, Africa. only continues maintain an increased number external (inter-country) whereas nine internal (intra-country). Considering production, 1 was active 1999 2019, 9 2009. stand out subjected coupling analysis, revealed is motor theme, endangered species, savannah niche themes, area, biodiversity, fire basic themes.

Wild life: The elusive fosa (Cryptoprocta ferox) is the top predator in the dry deciduous forests of Madagascar, but very little was known about its biology until the 1990s. The presence of volunteer groups studying its role in the forest’s ecology has also helped to protect its habitat. (Photo: Earthwatch/ Luke Dollar.) Modeling environmental factors on vegetation destruction in protected areas

Over the past two decades, degradation damage has increased in natural ecosystems. This research focuses solely on the degradation of soil and vegetation cover in Sorkheh Eshpar National Park. For this purpose, some physical properties of the soil (specific gravity and true porosity, moisture content, a percentage of pebbles, acidity and conductivity and soil texture) were measured. Also, the d...

They might be detrimental or beneficial to rural communities depending on how they alter economic opportunities and access to natural resources. As such, protected areas may attract or repel human settlement. Disproportionate increases in population growth near protected area boundarie...
