Between areolated and band-shaped spots: a revision of Lacronia Strand, 1942 (Opiliones, Gonyleptidae).

The genus Lacronia Strand, 1942 is herein revised, and a maximum parsimony phylogenetic analysis of morphological characters (30 taxa, 115 characters, 2962 scorings) performed to test its monophyly. As result, made monophyletic by means the inclusion Discocyrtus boraceae B. Soares, 1942, niger Mello-Leitão, 1923 tenuis Roewer, 1917. including those species sister group s. str. inside DRMN-clade, should be removed from Pachylinae Sørensen, 1884, although without new subfamilial assignment for now. Four junior subjective synonyms are detected first time (Discocyrtus rarus 1944 = fazi Piza, 1923; infelix 1940 nigrolineatus 1917). Accordingly, following combinations proposed: (B. 1942) comb. nov., nigra (Mello-Leitão, 1923) nov. endemic Atlantic province Brazil, with verified records states Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina São Paulo. geographic note, record ‘D. fazi’ Chile here discussed considered incorrect.
