Bertalanffy Model Reflects Growth Trajectory in Aseel Chicken

چکیده
Aseel, a popular breed of native chicken, characterized by its pugnacity, fighting strength and royal gait is being used to create crosses for domestic chicken production. However, information on growth models scanty. An experiment was conducted evaluate different non-linear find out best fitting model in maintained at Central Avian Research Institute, Izatnagar, Bareilly. Data body weights from 12-weeks age 20-weeks biweekly intervals were recorded random bred single-hatched flock. Owing the characteristic growth, three namely, Gompertz, Bertalanffy Logistic evaluated. Goodness fit all checked using coefficient determination (R2), adjusted (Adj-R2), mean square error (MSE), absolute (MAE) Akaike criterion (AIC). The most accurately trend males, females pooled sex data. study revealed that this may be ascertain average Aseel under mating. investigation has generated baseline data modelling groups similar investigations other breeds.

On the exponent in the Von Bertalanffy growth model
Von Bertalanffy proposed the differential equation m'(t) = p × m(t) a - q × m(t) for the description of the mass growth of animals as a function m(t) of time t. He suggested that the solution using the metabolic scaling exponent a = 2/3 (Von Bertalanffy growth function VBGF) would be universal for vertebrates. Several authors questioned universality, as for certain species other models would p...
متن کاملInterpreting the von Bertalanffy model of somatic growth in fishes: the cost of reproduction.
We develop a model for somatic growth in fishes that explicitly allows for the energy demand imposed by reproduction. We show that the von Bertalanffy (VB) equation provides a good description of somatic growth after maturity, but not before. We show that the parameters of the VB equation are simple functions of age at maturity and reproductive investment. We use this model to show how the ener...

A study has been directed towards a better understanding how the Aseel, Kadaknath and White Leghorn immune system responds to multi-determinant antigen, sheep red blood cells. In contemporary commercial poultry production myriad of Viral and bacterial diseases being lingering menace to poultry industry and retort to prevent and control them are needed due to enormous production losses. Our rese...
متن کاملFeatures and Partial Derivatives of Bertalanffy-Richards Growth Model in Forestry
The Bertalanffy-Richards growth model is employed more than any other models for forest growth and yield modelling. However, its features have not completely been recognised. As a result, misunderstanding of the model still appears in some papers published in forest journals. A study by [1] is cited here as an evidence of the misunderstanding. This paper tries to explain different features of t...
متن کاملContribution of Carcass Cuts in Meat Production of Kadaknath, Aseel and Vanraja Breeds of Chicken
A comparative study was conducted to find out the differences in contribution of carcass cuts in meat production from indigenous breeds such as Vanraja, Aseel and Kadaknath breeds with respect to a broiler strain, Cobb-400. The primal cuts of Cobb-400 had significantly (P<0.05) higher weight than all indigenous breeds. Among indigenous breeds Aseel exhibited higher weight of all primal cuts exc...
