چکیده
Abstract A study of smart functionally graded (FG) beams made carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforced composites combined with piezoelectric materials is presented. The material parameters the composite are assumed to vary along their thickness following extended rule mixture. finite element (FE) model was developed for FG nanotube-reinforced beam materials. This tested against previously published studies and found be in accordance them. numerical results were evaluated using various boundary conditions appropriateness layer deflection control presented followed by free vibration results. analysis revealed that efficiently controlled bending deflections presently studied beams. Various profiles grading considered

Finite Element Modeling and Free Vibration Analysis of Functionally Graded Nanocomposite Beams Reinforced by Randomly Oriented Carbon Nanotubes
This article deals with the finite element modeling and free vibration analysis of functionally graded nanocomposite beams reinforced by randomly oriented straight single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). Nanostructural materials can be used to alter mechanical, thermal and electrical properties of polymer-based composite materials, because of their superior properties and perfect atom arrangem...
متن کاملFree vibration of functionally graded carbon-nanotube-reinforced composite plates with cutout
During the past five years, it has been shown that carbon nanotubes act as an exceptional reinforcement for composites. For this reason, a large number of investigations have been devoted to analysis of fundamental, structural behavior of solid structures made of carbon-nanotube-reinforced composites (CNTRC). The present research, as an extension of the available works on the vibration analysis...
متن کاملOn Static Bending, Elastic Buckling and Free Vibration Analysis of Symmetric Functionally Graded Sandwich Beams
This article presents Navier type closed-form solutions for static bending, elastic buckling and free vibration analysis of symmetric functionally graded (FG) sandwich beams using a hyperbolic shear deformation theory. The beam has FG skins and isotropic core. Material properties of FG skins are varied through the thickness according to the power law distribution. The present theory accounts fo...
متن کاملVibration and Buckling Analysis of Functionally Graded Flexoelectric Smart Beam
In this paper, the buckling and vibration behaviour of functionally graded flexoelectric nanobeam is examined. The vibration and buckling formulations of functionally graded nanobeam are developed by using a new theory that’s presented exclusively for flexoelecteric nano-materials. So by considering Von-Karman strain and forming enthalpy equation based on displacement, polarization and electric...
متن کاملFree Vibration and Buckling Analyses of Functionally Graded Nanocomposite Plates Reinforced by Carbon Nanotube
This paper describes the application of refined plate theory to investigate free vibration and buckling analyses of functionally graded nanocomposite plates reinforced by aggregated carbon nanotube (CNT). The refined shear deformation plate theory (RSDT) uses four independent unknowns and accounts for a quadratic variation of the transverse shear strains across the thickness, satisfying the zer...
