As an African American male working in public health, the author has few peers field who can related to his experiences from a gender and race standpoint, even fewer work as doula lactation educator. His trail blazer this have involved lot of emotional labor, but been blessing joy well providing him with unique lens into world birth how nuances at intersection affect peers.
