چکیده

The aim of this study was to assess the extent which behavioural traits freshwater mussels provide suitable indicators stress in individuals, towards advancement non-invasive, remote monitoring techniques examine population condition. Variation expression particular metrics examined accordance with measurements oxygen consumption, across environmental stressors (aerial exposure and high concentrations total suspended solids), between two mussel species (Margaritifera margaritifera Anodonta anatina) Aerobic metabolic rate quantified using intermittent respirometry, behaviour observed time-lapse footage. Comparisons response occurrence traits, stressors, focused on differences 24 h pre-exposure period (pre-exposure), first 3 post-exposure (immediate post-exposure), time following initial until end experimental run (extended post-exposure). results demonstrated a relationship frequency responses exposure, associated valve activity, significant changes functioning A. anatina M. mussels. findings from also highlighted substantial intraspecific variation stressors. Data research could assist development novel biosensors that track activity remotely their natural environment. When coupled real-time data examining alterations metrics, technology condition aid conservation management.

Transient inactivation of the central amygdala modulates metabolic and hormonal responses to acute stress in female rats

Introduction: Current study examined the possible role of the central nucleus of amygdala (CeA) transient inactivation on the metabolic and hormonal disturbances induced by acute electro foot shock stress in female rats. Considering the differences between female and male in responses to stress, this study attempts to reveal possible mechanisms underlying these differences. Methods: Uni- or bil...

Physio-biochemical and Enzymatic Responses of Sunflower to Drought Stress

Drought stress is a serious adverse factor that limits sunflower growth and productivity. The stress induces a range of physiological and biochemical responses in sunflower. So, evaluation of defense systems is important for producing resistant cultivars. In this study, physio-biochemical changes and antioxidant enzymes activitiesof six sunflower lines were evaluated under normal and irrigation...

Deciphering hepatocellular responses to metabolic and oncogenic stress.

Each cell type responds uniquely to stress and fractionally contributes to global and tissue-specific stress responses. Hepatocytes, liver macrophages (MΦ), and sinusoidal endothelial cells (SEC) play functionally important and interdependent roles in adaptive processes such as obesity and tumor growth. Although these cell types demonstrate significant phenotypic and functional heterogeneity, t...
