چکیده
The nitrogen behavior of superalloy melt GH4169 during the vacuum induction melting (VIM) process was clarified by using different proportions returned materials including block-shaped material, chip-shaped and pure to produce a high–purity provide guidance for purification melt. For removal VIM process, denitrification rate in refining period reached 10 ppm per hour on average, which is significantly higher than 1 average period. reaction under extremely low pressure controlled both mass transfer chemical liquid–gas interface. melts occurs through two methods gasification nitride floatation because nitrides begin precipitate liquid phase at 1550 °C. A can be obtained increasing proportion material or decreasing material.

Vacuum Induction Melting
MELTING UNDER VACUUM in an induction-heated crucible is a tried and tested process in the production of liquid metal. It has its origins in the middle of the 19th century, but the actual technical breakthrough occurred in the second half of the 20th century. Commercial vacuum induction melting (VIM) was developed in the early 1950s, having been stimulated by the need to produce superalloys cont...

GH4169, a nickel-base heat-resistant alloy, usually has outstanding high-temperature strength, excellent thermal stability and good wear resistance. However, it is hard to cut and its machined surface quality and integrity are particularly sensitive to a manufacturing process employed. The study reported in this paper was conducted to initially, review existing research on machining-induced sur...
