Behavior of floating stone columns reinforced with geogrid encasement in model tests

The bearing capacity and deformation characteristics of floating stone columns were complicated are not thoroughly understood. In the present study, a series experimental model tests under vertical plate loading was performed. This study investigated influence geogrid encasement on behavior provided valuable insight into load-displacement behavior, bulging deformation, load transfer mechanism, radial stress encasement. test results show that column significantly improved due to with longer showed higher stiffness at large settlements. pattern changed different lengths.
